Adhan brings windows firm to Whitebirk

Following its takeover by Unique Window Systems, AluFold has relocated its operations to a 60,000 sq ft facility at the Blackburn business park.

Windows business AluFold entered administration in June, but has now been  taken over by Leicester-based Unique Window Systems.

The Lancastrian firm, previously based at Blackburn’s Frontier Park, will continue to trade under its AluFold name, maintaining continuity for customers and partners.

Adhan Group described the move as “a major achievement for the team and a positive boost for Blackburn and the wider Lancashire region” that is expected to bring new opportunities for employment, training, and local business collaboration, strengthening the area’s industrial and economic growth.

Directors Salim Patel and Mustaq Khanjra expressed their pride in Adhan’s in- house lettings team for securing jobs with a long-term lease commitment. The brothers added that it has been a great pleasure working with the Unique Window family, highlighting the positive partnership and shared vision for the company’s future.

Adhan has been one of Lancashire’s busiest property companies of late, buying Blackburn’s 153,000 sq ft India Mill site in April and rapidly securing a deal with tissue business Euro Paper to let the asset.
