Addleshaw Goddard poaches DWF’s national head of planning

Addleshaw Goddard has hired planning partner Glenn Sharpe from DWF to join its real estate team. Sharpe has a Northern remit and will split his time across the Manchester and Leeds offices.

Sharpe has vast knowledge in infrastructure planning and urban development projects in both the public and private sectors; working for clients including the National Air Traffic Service, Liverpool Airport and Aggregate Industries UK.

His expertise covers a number of AG’s key sectors including; energy, renewables, transport, retail and residential.

Marnix Elsenaar, head of planning at AG, said: “This is a major hire into our growing planning team and also for our UK real estate team. With over a 100 real estate lawyers in our Leeds and Manchester offices and a growing focus on energy and transport, Glenn’s hire allows us to take advantage of new and existing opportunities and broadens our existing capability.”

AG’s planning team advises clients including National Grid, Network Rail, SSE, Dandara, Hammerson, Luton Airport and Muse Developments.
