Turley strengthens senior management team

The planning and design consultancy with 67 staff in Manchester has appointed Stephen Gleave as a board director with responsibility for development of the company’s place-making agenda and business strategy.

Gleave was formerly managing director of Taylor Young architects and planners, now part of IBI Group. He has a track record in design and masterplanning, advising on major hospitals and public sector site disposals, and leading masterplanning and architecture teams on new housing and regeneration initiatives. He will work with the board on strategic development of the business, and across the wider company as an advisor and partner to Turley’s teams and clients.

Jaimie Ferguson, head of design at Turley, said: “Stephen brings a wealth of experience and an infectious enthusiasm to Turley. We welcome the support he will bring to our leading masterplanning team and place-making agenda.”

Rob Lucas, chief executive, said: “I have known Stephen as a friendly competitor for 20 years and have always been impressed by his professional expertise and business acumen. I am delighted to welcome him to Turley and look forward to him contributing to the delivery of our business ambition.”
