Regenda reports spring investments

Bolton-based housing group Regenda has completed £9m of developments and investments across the North West in the past two months.

There were three areas of activity:

  • £3.81m in Wyre, on two developments. Ten homes in Seacrest Avenue, Fleetwood, bought direct from Redrow Homes, for rent and shared ownership. In Willow Road, Thornton-Cleveleys, 14 two-and-three bedroom new-build homes were purchased from David Wilson Homes
  • £2.74m on 22 new homes in Greater Manchester. These include three- and four-bed houses in Kitchen Street, Rochdale for rent; and eight in Dudley Street, Oldham. In Holmes Street, Rochdale, two long-term 'empty property' terraced homes were renovated, and put back into circulation
  • £2.5m invested in Merseyside developments, including Atherton House in Newton-le-Willows, providing three, two-bed apartments for rent. In Rock Ferry, Wirral, 19 homes in Mulberry Street were also provided for affordable rent

Bernard Gallagher, group chief executive, said: "The remainder of the year looks set to be equally busy, with several new projects already in progress and due to start on site."

Regenda owns 13,000 properties for rent and sale across the region. The group has assets valued at £439m, a turnover of £49m and employs more than 400 people.
