One Vision buys Cheshire homes

Merseyside landlord One Vision Housing, part of Sovini Housing Group, has expanded into Cheshire with the acquisition of homes in Northwich, Middlewich and Nantwich.

The housing association already operates 13,000 properties across Merseyside in Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton.

One Vision has purchased 58 properties in Cheshire, from Bellway and Barratt Homes, as part of a section 106 agreements. The schemes are at Longwood Park in Northwich, Oak Meadow in Middlewich, and Malbank Waters in Nantwich.

The affordable rent properties will be available to local people through Cheshire HomeChoice or Trust HomeChoice.

One Vision has also purchased an additional 38 three-bedroom homes at two of the locations, in Northwich and Middlewich, which will be sold to local people as part of its shared ownership scheme.

Just last year One Vision secured a £40m refinance deal to support its development plan to build more than 600 homes across Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashire between 2015 and 2018.

Roy Williams, chief executive of One Vision, said: “Having been a predominant landlord in Merseyside for nearly 10 years, we’re excited to now be providing affordable homes which people in Cheshire can access, through their local choice-based letting schemes.

“We hope that the delivery of these quality homes will make a significant impact on the local housing shortages and on the regeneration of the North West.”
