Innov8 hires three for safety expertise

The Merseyside-based construction firm has hired three to boost resources following a surge in demand.

Health and safety consultant Peter McConville, construction design management safety advisor Max Meadows and office manager Emma Greaves have all joined the firm.

McConville has worked in the industry since 2004. He previously worked at Adonis Construction, ISG, Robinson Low Francis and AA Projects.

Wirral Metropolitan College graduate Max Meadows previously worked for asbestos consultancy firm Lucion Environmental, while Greaves is a former health and safety administration assistant.

Innov8 managing director Alan Robson said the trio would each play an important part in helping the firm to build on its rapid growth. Innov8’s turnover increased from £440,000 to £700,000 in 2014, and it has plans to break through the £1m barrier in 2016.

Robson said: “Peter, Max and Emma will all perform crucial roles here at Innov8. Peter is an expert in his field and joins us as a senior CDM advisor. Peter has previously worked on projects spanning a wide range of sectors, including education, commercial, retail, private and social housing, with clients including Liverpool and Manchester Universities, Stoke College and Derwent Property Group.

“Max and Emma will be bringing energy, enthusiasm and dynamism to the team. Max has moved across from Lucion Environmental to boost Innov8’s CDM support services. His background is in construction, asbestos management and health and safety and his responsibilities include carrying out pre-construction site visits before collating and distributing information. Emma joins us from Hill Dickinson.”

Innov8, which was acquired by Lucion Environmental earlier this year, offers two main services under the CDM umbrella; principal designer support and CDM client advice.

The firm works in the commercial, healthcare, housing, maritime and education fields, both in the public and private sector.
