HCA launches 11-acre employment site to occupiers

The Homes & Communities Agency has appointed Barnfield Construction to build 200,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space at Agecroft Commerce Park, Salford.

The site, named Evolution, offers four parcels of land for the contractor and developer to build design-and-build industrial and warehouse units for occupiers.

Units can be accommodated from 10,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft on either a leasehold or freehold basis.

The scheme will build on the last remaining plots at Agecroft. Other occupiers at the park include PZ Cussons, Securicor, Bunzl and Nimans.

Dan Symonds, head of development at Barnfield Construction, said: “This is a key employment site for Salford and one that we are keen to see brought forward. Occupier interest received to date has been encouraging with plot one now under offer for 20,000 sq ft of industrial space. Construction is expected to start later this year.”

Nolan Redshaw and LM6 are retained as marketing agents.
