Graduate hired at Robson & Liddle

The recently launched Penrith-based firm has appointed James Pyrah, a graduate from the University of Cumbria, as a trainee surveyor.

He will work towards becoming fully-qualified as Robson & Liddle support him through his postgraduate studies at Harper Adams University in Shropshire.

Pyrah’s degree was in forestry and conservation, but he also has experience in land agency.

His responsibilities will include assisting the team with property and land valuations, rent reviews, mapping and pylon compensation claims.

Robson & Liddle, based at Edenhall, was launched in April 2015 by John Robson and Julie Liddle, two chartered surveyors who formerly worked at H&H Land and Property.

The company has hired nine people since it was established and there are plans to create another trainee position in the coming weeks.

Julie Liddle said: “I have always enjoyed training students and investing time in their development. Trainees are vital in helping us develop the business and they are also the future of it. We’re really pleased to have James on board and he is already a valuable member of the team.”
