Booths serves up Grange-over-Sands food store

Family owned Preston-based food retailer Booths has received planning permission for a new supermarket in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria.

The site currently comprises a car dealership at the north end of the town centre. The proposals were submitted in response to a retail consultant's report adopted by South Lakeland council which advocated that a relatively small food store was suited to the town.

Booths' advisory team on the application included planning experts Steven Abbott Associates, chartered surveyors Robert Pinkus & Co, concept architect Donald Clark, scheme architects Damson Design, solicitors Napthens, transport consultants Turner Lowe, structural and civil engineers RG Parkins, and acoustic specialist Philip Dunbavin.
