First taste of Booths for Media City
22 Jun 2011, 16:34
The Booths cafe at Media City UK opens on Thursday ahead of the opening of the company's first Greater Manchester store at the same development in October.
The café will be located on the ground floor of the Media City UK Open Centre at the front of The Studios and will be open from 7am daily.
Stephen Wild, managing director of Media City UK, said: "The arrival of the Booths Café has been timed to coincide with the start of preparations for Music Boxes and Crash of Elysium, the two Manchester International Festival events that are to take place here at Media City UK. We feel the Booths Café will complement the current range of refreshments being served at the Holiday Inn and Costa Coffee, Media City UK. We hope that residents, employees and visitors pop into the Open Centre and take in the wonderful views over the piazza, whilst having a bite to eat or drink."
Sarah Burns, senior marketing manager of Preston-based Booths, said: "The new Booths Café in the Open Centre of Media City UK will give customers the chance to sample our freshly prepared offering before our new store opens. Booths is famous for its commitment to supplying the very best locally-produced food and drink and our store will provide us with an opportunity to bring the best of the region's produce into the heart of the city."
Booths has 26 stores across Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire and their Media City UK store will be their first in Greater Manchester. Located behind The Studios, the store will be spread over two floors and will open this autumn.
