Recall makes regional debut at Heywood
9 Sep 2010, 09:36
Secure document storage specialist, Recall, has agreed a 25-year lease on 31,206 sq ft of industrial space at Segro's Heywood Distribution Park in Rochdale.
The move is Recall's first into the North West. The firm will occupy unit P17 at the Park. Wayne Rogers, property and commercial planning director at Recall, said: "We carried out an extensive search when we were looking for accommodation in Greater Manchester and Heywood Distribution Park stood out as the prime location in the North West to carry out our business. Having viewed a number of options it was clear that HDP's excellent on-site security was second to none, and that this high quality offering would fit perfectly with our corporate profile as a global brand."
Daniel Burn, senior associate at King Sturge, joint letting agent for Heywood, said: "We are extremely pleased to have secured this letting on a 25-year lease, which is somewhat unprecedented in the current climate. This was a general Greater Manchester requirement and Recall therefore, had a number of options spanning from Warrington to Rochdale, so the fact that the company chose to locate to HDP is highly significant. This letting further illustrates the fact that there are still good deals taking place at the moment, although the market does remain fragile. We have found that there has certainly been more activity in the last couple months that we have seen in quite some time."
King Sturge and Savills are joint agents on Heywood Distribution Park.
