Founder steps down from TEG board
7 Sep 2010, 09:25
TEG Group, the AIM-listed organic composting company based in Chorley, announced that Alan Heyworth, co-founder and research director, has resigned from the main board but will remain on the company's operational board.
Heyworth co-founded the business in 1995 and has been involved in commercial composting since the late 1950s, initially through family and associated firms manufacturing peat-based composts and organic fertilisers.
Mick Fishwick, chief executive of TEG, said: "All of us at TEG are very grateful to Alan for his enormous contribution to the company over many years. I will greatly miss his valuable support at main board level, but I am delighted that he is joining our operational board and that we can continue to benefit from his technical expertise and sage counsel."
