Warrington firm secures housing work

28 Jul 2010, 13:19

Fit-out and building maintenance business, Morris & Spottiswood, has won a three-year contract with the National House Building Council.

The Warrington-based firm will undertake maintenance and minor works which comprise the investigation of defects and damage to domestic homes.

Morris & Spottiswood has been appointed as the primary or secondary contractor in a range of postcodes covering Scotland and the North West of England.

Douglas Bennett, managing director of Morris & Spottiswood's housing division, said: "This win cements our ongoing relationship with the NHBC and builds on the partnership approach which the teams have developed over the five years that we have been working with the NHBC.

"The NHBC has always stressed to us the need for quality, competitiveness and above all a high regard for the owners, in whose homes we are required to work on a daily basis. Our success in securing this contract is a demonstration of our understanding of this ethos and we are delighted to be able to move forward as a business with the NHBC as one of our key customers."

A spokesperson at the National House Building Council said: "Carrying out repair work in occupied properties, Morris & Spottiswood has been able to deliver high standards of workmanship and customer care. They have been one of our key contractors in Scotland for a number of years and we are pleased to confirm that we have agreed a new contract with them for a further three years."
