Laterooms checks in to Peninsula

Online accommodation portal Laterooms has completed the deal to move into offices at the Peninsula on the edge of Manchester city centre.

Laterooms, part of TUI Travel business-to-consumer division, will occupy 36,000 sq ft, taking the top three floors of the 12-storey building, originally developed by Development Securities.

Fred and Peter Done's employment law firm Peninsula Business Services occupy the first six floors and owns the building. DTZ is marketing the three remaining floors in the 147,000 sq ft building.

Chris Morris, MD of Laterooms, said: "LateRooms.com has been one of Manchester's success stories over the past ten years, and we're committed to keeping the business in the city where it all began. From small beginnings of just six people, LateRooms.com now has over 350 staff working in Manchester and we're delighted to be moving into The Peninsula, a fantastic new office that will give us the space we need to develop and grow."

Jonathan Baucher of agents Cushman & Wakefield advised Laterooms. Ruth Clare of Eversheds, solicitors for LateRooms.com, acted on the company's behalf.

DTZ acted for the landlord, Peninsula Business Services, along with Emma McGlinchey of Halliwells.

Workplace specialists TSK will be designing and delivering the new offices, with work starting in August and completion anticipated for early October when a phased relocation from the Deva Centre will begin.
