Dean splits Century House for serviced offices
19 Mar 2010, 10:05
Dean Property Group is to create a business centre aimed at start-ups and small firms at Century House on Hardshaw Street in St Helens.
Around 4,000 sq ft on the sixth floor will be converted into suites of 500 sq ft each suitable for two or three people with communal services on hand. If successful the business centre, which Dean plans to manage itself, will be rolled out to other floors.
The lower half of the 45,600 sq ft building is occupied by a variety of tenants and the upper half is vacant. A £1m refurbishment of the eight-storey building completed 12 months ago.
Mike O'Donnell, director of Cheshire-based Dean Property Group, said: "Our new proposals to provide smaller units for start up businesses will offer greater flexibility in line with their budget requirements and provide entrepreneurs with the opportunity to start their businesses in prime town centre location."
Work is due to begin shortly on the business centre. Quoting rents will be around £15/sq ft including service charge.
