Twelve months since setting up her own business in Liverpool, Joanne Jennings is hoping to recruit up to five employees within the next year.
Jennings, who was the first chief executive of Grosvenor's £1bn Liverpool One regeneration project, runs management consultancy Insight Consulting on her own.
She has been undertaking feasibility studies for tourism operators interested in locating to the Greater Manchester and Merseyside areas.
She said: "Part of my business plan was to employ two to five people within the next 12 months and I hope to be doing that.
"Liverpool has been a great base to work from and made accessibility to Ireland and Northern Ireland very easy. Liverpool is a great location to be in to help bring in further inward investment into the North West."
In February this year, Jennings was appointed as interim manager for Down District Council in Northern Ireland. A lot of her time recently has been working on behalf of inward investors wishing to locate to County Down.
Jennings spent nearly two years with Grosvenor before leaving in January 2009. Prior to her working for Liverpool One, she was a management consultant with Deloitte in the 1990s before running Belfast City Centre Management Company.
Insight Consulting is located at Your Space's Il Palazzo in Water Street, Liverpool city centre, and specialises in marketing and communications strategies, as well as providing advice on urban regeneration, strategic and business planning, destination marketing and management.
