Morgan Ashurst is the latest sponsor to back Liverpool at MIPIM this year, the world's largest property convention taking place next week in Cannes.
The construction company has offices in Highfield Street in Liverpool and joins nine other sponsors including Peel Holdings, Arup, Keepmoat and Uniform, which are all paying £5,000 to support Liverpool at the three day event starting on Tuesday 16 March.
Mike Taylor, a director of investment and enterprise at Liverpool Vision, said: "Liverpool has changed immeasurably since our first MIPIM nine years ago, not just in terms of infrastructure and development, but also with the increased involvement of the private sector and our growing confidence as an international destination. This year's MIPIM, together with our presence at the World Expo in Shanghai, offers us our best opportunity yet to shout about what Liverpool has to offer in terms of business, commerce and property as well as tourism and culture.
"The support of Morgan Ashurst is very welcome in helping us to make the most of our presence at MIPIM. This backing is critical in allowing us to take our messages to the world and maintain the positive momentum of the last decade."
Danny Murray, managing director of Morgan Ashurst in the North West, added: "As someone who was born in Liverpool and who has been involved in the construction of many of the city's buildings over the past 20 years, I am delighted that Morgan Ashurst is helping to promote Liverpool on a global stage.
"We are currently delivering schemes worth more than £155m in the region, including two contracts worth £55m in Liverpool City Council's Building Schools, Skills Success scheme. We can see how these new developments are making a positive impact on local communities and we're delighted to be able to give something back."
