Three leave RBS and BoS for Barclays

Barclays has announced a trio of appointments to its North West property team in Manchester and Liverpool.
Paul Devenport joins Barclays as senior relationship director responsible for leading a team of three property directors across the North West and North Wales. Based in Liverpool, Devenport was previously at Bank of Scotland where he ran the corporate real estate finance team for Merseyside. He started at Natwest and has 20 years' experience in the banking sector and is corporate treasury qualified. His focus will be to develop new business for Barclays.
Chris Swarbrick joins Barclays as commercial director from Royal Bank of Scotland and will head the Manchester property team. He spent eight years with RBS, based in Manchester since 2005, and held a number of different roles including head of business development, corporate property North West and large corporate relationship director. He previously work for Standard Chartered in the City, where he undertook a variety of finance roles whilst also qualifying with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
Matt Jones joins as senior relationship director from RBS where he spent 24 years in a variety of roles, most recently in the corporate real estate finance team. Based in Manchester, his emphasis will be on business development.
Barclays' property team in the North West now totals around 20 staff, including eight relationship directors and two structured finance directors.
David Hardcastle, head of property finance in the North for Barclays, said: "Notwithstanding the challenging times we all find ourselves in, we are delighted to welcome Chris, Paul and Matt on board."
