The largest manufacturer of laboratory Petri-dishes in Europe is establishing its first UK base in Blackburn, creating 37 jobs.
The French company holds a 50% market share of the European Petri-dish market. It will use the UK as a base from which to extend market share within Northern Europe.
The North West Development Agency is putting £290,000 towards the £1.9m inward investment.
Mark Hughes, NWDA economic development director, said: "Establishing a UK base within East Lancashire will contribute towards Blackburn's vision for a biomedical cluster, strengthening supply linkages within the region as a result of this important investment.
