Bury pre-let starts Alliance business park
8 Feb 2010, 08:55
Property Alliance Group has signed laboratory services firm LGC Standards to acquire a 20,000 sq ft office and science building at The Green.
LGC Standards, which carries out quality tests and supplies reference material for labs, is already based in Bury and will move into the new premises in order to expand. Liz Jordain of LGC Standards said: "By remaining in Bury, colleagues can continue to travel to work easily but we will attract the growing employment resources that Bury is set to generate."
Upon completion, the office park will provide 92,000 sq ft of Grade A accommodation overlooking the River Irwell. Alliance plans four separate buildings that can be subdivided into smaller suites and 265 car parking spaces.
Dominic Pozzoni, commercial director of Alliance, said: "The wider regeneration programmes in the town are serving to retain existing national and international occupiers, who appreciate the benefits of the town's location and inward investment in amenities and facilities. We look forward to updating on further deals over the course of 2010."
Edwards & Co and Nolan Redshaw are joint agents on the scheme. WHR Property Consultants advised LGC Standards.
