Manchester City Council has granted planning permission for Manchester Metropolitan University's new campus in Hulme.
The campus expansion is expected to add £29m a year and 350 jobs to the local economy through shops and services.
The 30-acre site will be remodelled with a new public square for community use, landscaping and new academic buildings.
MMU was advised by John McAslan & Partners and Drivers Jonas.
