Great Days Out returns on Saturday
21 Feb 2012, 15:32
Registration is still open for the 30th annual Great Days Out exhibition which will showcase Greater Manchester tourist businesses to the group travel industry this weekend at Event City in Trafford.
Around 200 attractions and destinations will feature in the exhibition, organised by Visit Manchester.
Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: "Over the last 30 years Great Days Out has established itself as the leading exhibition for group travel organisers. Visit Manchester has been privileged to lead the show since 2004 and we are very proud of the platform the event provides to the tourism industry to showcase their product to the groups market.
"Domestic tourism is incredibly important to the UK economy - more so than ever this year, 2012, when there is an opportunity for the groups market to capitalise on the increased number of visitors to the UK and also the extra Bank Holiday over the Diamond Jubilee weekend.
"We're looking forward to welcoming visitors to the event and would encourage all those coming to get stuck in and make a real day out of it."
Great Days Out will take place on Saturday, 25 February at Event City, next to the Trafford Centre, just off the M60.
Registration is still open and free for those with a responsibility for planning group travel on behalf of clubs, societies, school groups and professional group travel organisers. Those registering in advance will be entered into a prize draw to win a European cruise on the Saga Ruby.
