Derwent plans Warrington retail revamp
21 Feb 2012, 15:25
AEW Architects has submitted a planning application on behalf of Derwent Holdings for the regeneration of the former Fiat Building on Warrington Road and the refurbishment of the existing Alban retail park.
Steve Burne, managing director of AEW, said: "This is another significant project undertaken by AEW for Derwent Holdings and brings forward the regeneration of a busy retail park and a disused site. This important client is carrying out major projects across several retail sites in the North, which has contributed to making this a key sector for us."
Derwent said: "The proposed development will help deliver new employment opportunities and retail facilities while helping to attract further investment into the A49 corridor area and enhance the image of the site, improving the street scene for this key gateway into Warrington.
"The proposals will help to secure the physical and economic regeneration of this area through redevelopment of this site."
