Rice leaves CBRE to set up his own practice

3 Feb 2012, 10:11

Nick Rice has left CBRE in Liverpool, where he was managing director of the office, to launch Nick Rice Consulting, specialising in commercial agency advice to occupiers.

Rice left at Christmas and is now based in Martin's Building, 4 Water Street, around the corner from CBRE's Castle Street office, where the national surveyor has around 30 staff.

Rice joined CBRE in summer 2008 as part of the takeover of his practice Irving Rice, along with Malcom Irving, who has already left CBRE.

CBRE's most senior staff in Liverpool now are directors John Lea, Mark Worthington, Paul Jolley and Jonathan Thorne.

Rice is a director of the Business Improvement District for the commercial quarter around Castle Street, Water Street and Old Hall Street.

He has advised on some of the city's largest office acquisitions in recent years, including advising Hill Dickinson at St Paul's Square and Merseytravel over its move to Mann Island.

Christine Hanson, chairman, North, CBRE, said: "I thank Nick for his contribution to CBRE and wish him well for the future."
