Former Lancashire Evening Post journalist Emilie Bradshaw has joined Manchester-based SLG Marketing.
The business, which specialises in construction and engineering marketing, said Bradshaw had been appointed as a account director in its construction division.
She will be working with clients such as concrete giant Bison Manufacturing, Xtralite Rooflights and plastic piping manufacturer Polypipe.
Prior to joining SLG, Emilie spent four years as a senior account manager at North West agency Active Profile.
Before that she spent five years as a senior news reporter at the Lancashire Evening Post.
Bradshaw said: "SLG has been a leading player in the construction industry for over 30 years and its clients are at the forefront of their respective industries. It's great to be joining the company at such an exciting time, and I'm looking forward to helping contribute to SLG's ambitious growth plans."
SLG's managing director Julie Malone said: "Emilie brings with her excellent campaign management and a wealth of creative ideas and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.
"We've had a phenomenal 12 months, winning Agency of the Year at the Construction Marketing Awards and attracting a number of new clients along the way, and it's testament to SLG that we have some of the best agency talent come and join us."
