Seddon starts on new Cheshire primary school
1 Feb 2012, 12:23
Seddon Construction has started on site at a new £4.8m primary school in Warrington.
The new Great Sankey school, designed by Manchester-based SBS Architects, will feature low-energy, sustainable technology.
The building, commissioned by Warrington Borough Council, is being built near to the school's current site off Liverpool Road and should be finished by October.
Bolton-based Seddon will then demolish a number of existing buildings and start work on a new sports pitch.
A Victorian building which formed part of the original school will be retained for other uses.
