Living Ventures to open new pub in Alderley Edge
1 Feb 2012, 09:54
Restaurant and bar chain Living Ventures is gearing up for the launch of its 27th venue.
It is opening a pub called The Botanist in Alderley Edge on the former site of the Number 15 Wine Bar.
The move comes a month after the chain, led by managing director Tim Bacon, secured a £4m cash injection from Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets.
A spokesperson said the new pub, due to open in May, will have the same feel as the group's Manchester city centre pub, The Oast House.
Bacon said: "The Oast House in Manchester has established a very strong following in a short space of time so I'm confident we will achieve the same with The Botanist and bring Number 15 back to life."
Living Ventures operates under a number of different brands, including nine Gustos, eight under The Grill by Blackhouse name, two Olives Presses and two Red Doors.
It also has five one-offs: The Alchemist, Australasia, The Oast House, Suburbia and Peppermint Bay.
Last year the group saw like-for-like sales have grow 3% with Gusto marginally stronger at 4%.
