Savills aims to kick-start Runcorn regeneration
27 Jan 2012, 09:27
Savills has launched the Runcorn Prospectus for its client Halton Council, a portfolio of residential-led mixed-use sites in and around the town centre.
The first wave of sites coming to market includes 6.3 acres known as the Crosville Site, accessed off the Bridgewater Expressway A533 with roadside and waterside frontage onto the Manchester Ship Canal and River Mersey. There is also the opportunity for links with the shopping core of Runcorn and the Brindley Arts Centre.
Savills is inviting expressions of interest from developers, investors, occupiers and landowners.
Barry Allen, development director of Savills, said: "There is strong potential to transform the traditional centre and put it on the map for inward investment and development. We have worked closely with the council to create the Prospectus and they are very much committed and focussed on the delivery of the regeneration plans and will be flexible in their approach in order to facilitate development/investment across the centre."
