Dunphy on site with new premises next month
26 Jan 2012, 13:39
Architects CJP Partnership have won planning consent for a new 36,000 sq ft research facility in Rochdale for Dunphy Combustion.
Dunphy develops and manufactures industrial burbners and boilers, with 80% of its products exported.
The building will use green energy technologies developed by the company, as well as rainwater harvesting and an anaerobic digestion plant, which means no mains drainage connection is required.
Translucent wall panels will provide maximum daylight. Heating will be provided from the steam produced in the burner testing lab.
CJP Partnership specialises in the design of sustainable developments, employing their own BREEAM assessor and energy consultant.
It is envisaged that over 100 jobs will be created, and that the development will help Dunphy's to remain at the forefront of the energy sector.
Work is scheduled to start on site at the end of February and be completed by the end of 2012.
