Red House restaurant signs at Media City UK
22 Nov 2011, 10:21
Chester-based restaurant group the Red House has completed a deal with Peel Group to open a restaurant and bar at Media City UK in Salford Quays.
The 4,000 sq ft, 160-cover Red House Restaurant & Bar will be located on the ground floor of Dock House overlooking the gardens and Quays. There will be a large bar area, restaurant and private dining room.
The restaurant group said the food will be 'modern British'.
Steve Metcalfe, brand director of the Red House, said: "Media City UK is a fantastic hub for media, for business, for learning, for living and for leisure. As such, it is precisely the sort of place that we would want to locate a Red House.
"Design and customer experience are a vital part of the Red House philosophy, and we are very excited about opening a restaurant and bar with a bit of a wow-factor in an environment that already has it."
Stephen Wild, managing director of Media City UK, said: "The Red House is a wonderful restaurant group and we are thrilled they are to open their first Manchester restaurant here at Media City UK. We hope that our residents, tenants and visitors will take time to enjoy their fantastic menu in what is to be a beautifully designed environment."
The Red House at Media City UK will be the fourth Red House in the North West.

That's Red House rather than Red Door. The one by the River in Chester, not the subterranean one!…
