The ASL Manchester office now has a full-time staff of 40 and projects past and present (pictured above) include the restoration of the Monastery of St Francis at Gorton, the contemporary extension to The University of Manchester John Rylands Library on Deansgate, the Gravity residential tower in Store Street, the redevelopment of The Peoples History Museum and the Argent Piccadilly Place masterplan and Number Three Piccadilly Place.

The Manchester team also works on major projects in Leeds, York, Cumbria and the practice's international projects in Europe and the Middle East.

With a turnover of over £850,000 in five years and significant ongoing orders, the future of Austin-Smith:Lord in Manchester is secure. The firm has other UK offices in London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Cardiff.
