RIBA NW: Pushing Boundaries: BIG Architects

BIG Architects – Jakob Lange will be coming to Manchester on 14 March 2013 to take part in the RIBA North West's Pushing Boundaries lecture series. The lecture will take place at the Manchester Metropolitan Business School and begin at 6:30pm. The lecture will cover topics including YES IS MORE, HEDONISTIC SUSTAINABILITY and the work of BIG Architects.

Jakob Lange is a Partner at BIG and has collaborated with Bjarke Ingels since 2003. As a Project Leader for several prize and award winning projects, Jakob has been instrumental in several of BIG's largest commissions. He led the design and development of the innovative and multi-award winning Mountain residences completed in 2008 and served as the Project Leader for the new Tallinn Town Hall in Estonia, which received a MIPIM Future Award 2011 and will be completed in 2016. Most recently Jakob led the winning design team for the Koutalaki Ski Village in Finland and the Stockholm City Gate in Sweden. He is currently the design partner in charge of Stettin 7, a 20,000m2 luxury green condominium commissioned by Oscar Properties in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as BIG's projects in Taiwan, including the Hualien Beach Resort. Jakob also manages BIG's relationship with sister company and award-winning product designers KiBiSi.
