A unique platform putting economic growth at the heart of discussions

Now in its second year, Liverpool International Waterfront Forum is a key event in the waterfront calendar. Brought to you by the Liverpool Waterfront Business Partnership and supported by Arup, the 2015 conference will bring together best practice examples and debate the measurable elements which come together to make a world-class waterfront destination.

International Waterfront Forum, 4 June

The IWF will welcome leading figures from Barcelona, Cape Town, Sydney and Wuhan, who will showcase the opportunities and challenges their waterfronts have encountered. They will be followed by a keynote presentation from the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) providing a summary of the findings of the ‘Cities, Water and Urban Planning’ congress which was held in Gydnia, Poland.

UK Waterfront City Symposium, 3 June

This year sees the addition of a one-day conference, aimed at those wishing to develop and regenerate the waterfront, build on the cultural offer, and develop a recognisable ‘sense of place’. The aim for the symposium is to create a UK Waterfront City Alliance, a network for those who face similar challenges to discuss and share best practice, leading to formal reports on economic factors within waterfront regeneration.

Why attend?

The Liverpool International Waterfront Forum is the only platform which puts economic growth at the heart of discussions for an ambitious waterfront city. Attendees will discover approaches from other cities where their waterfront is a key asset, developing a sense of place to enliven and encourage investment.

Attendees will have opportunities to discuss with others facing similar challenges and network with practitioners who have delivered solutions from architects and developers, to investors and advisors.
