Enertec Fuels
Morecambe-based biodiesel and green fuel specialist Enertec Fuels is helping to revolutionise the way in which companies run their fleets of vehicles through its innovative new Biostations.
Enertec Fuels has designed the world's first fully enclosed biodiesel producing machine, which converts either waste or virgin vegetable oils into road-legal fuel from just 15p/litre, a saving of over 85% compared to fossil diesel.
The Biostation, which features enhanced processing technology, can easily be installed at any business premises, with a range of models producing from 100 litres to 2,000 litres a batch each day. Compared to mineral diesel, biodiesel produces 60% less CO2 emissions, is both biodegradable and non-toxic, and has greater lubricating properties than fossil diesel.
Company owner Leigh Astin believes Biostations are perfect for businesses that run fleets of any size, from car hire companies and construction firms to small painting and decorating businesses. Enertec also has models suitable for home use and offers full training and technical support.
Astin said: "Biodiesel is not actually a new concept - the original diesel engine, first demonstrated by Rudolph Diesel in 1895, was designed to run on vegetable oil. "Biofuels are now at the forefront of the rapidly growing Clean Tech sector, and the UK government is continuing to strengthen its support for both renewable fuels and biodiesel."
He added: "Envirolink Northwest has helped Enertec by providing guidance, training, essential networking and marketing opportunities, as well as help in areas such as research & development within the environmental sector. This support has proved invaluable as part of our growth, development strategy and plans for the future."
